Delivery Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Delivery Manager to own delivery performance across multiple teams and initiatives within a large and growing organization. This role is accountable for ensuring that delivery commitments are realistic, predictable, and sustainable, balancing product ambition with execution reality.

The Senior Delivery Manager operates above individual projects, focusing on delivery capability, capacity, dependency management, and execution discipline across a defined domain or platform area.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery Ownership & Predictability

• Own delivery outcomes across multiple teams and concurrent initiatives
• Ensure delivery commitments are based on validated capacity, dependency readiness, and quality criteria
• Identify and manage systemic delivery risks, including cross-team dependencies, QA bottlenecks, and release constraints
• Improve delivery predictability through structured planning, forecasting, and continuous refinement

Delivery Authority & Decision Rights

• Act as the delivery authority for assigned domains or platforms
• Challenge and, when necessary, encouraged block roadmap or initiative commitments that exceed delivery capacity or introduce unacceptable risk
• Force re-prioritisation discussions by clearly articulating delivery trade-offs and constraints
• Validate initiative-level delivery dates in partnership with Senior Project Managers
• Hold decision authority on delivery readiness, including when work or initiatives are not ready to be committed or released

Product & Stakeholder Alignment

• Partner closely with Product leadership to align roadmap ambition with execution feasibility
• Ensure delivery implications are clearly understood before commitments are made
• Escalate unresolved delivery conflicts with options and impact analysis, not opinions

People Leadership & Delivery Capability

• Lead, mentor, and develop Delivery Managers, Project Managers, or delivery-focused roles within the domain
• Raise delivery maturity through coaching, standards, and accountability
• Foster a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Delivery Management, Program Management, or senior Project Management roles
• Proven experience managing multiple teams and complex delivery landscapes
• Strong background in software delivery within large or scaling organizations
• Experience leading and developing delivery professionals
• Pragmatic understanding of Agile and hybrid delivery models
• Strong communication skills across technical and executive audiences
