Job Description

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance SQL Server databases and Data Warehouse solutions.
  • Develop and optimize advanced T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and other database objects.
  • Perform SQL query and database performance tuning, including execution plan analysis, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Design and maintain effective data models to support Data Warehouse, reporting, and analytics requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) packages and ETL workflows.
  • Design and implement data integration and transformation processes across multiple source systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot database, ETL, and data-related issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of Data Warehouse solutions, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, Business Analysts, Data/BI teams, and other technical teams to understand data and analytics requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable database and data solutions.
  • Apply strong Life Insurance domain knowledge to understand business processes, data structures, and reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of database performance, ETL processes, and Data Warehouse solutions.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related technical field.
  • From 3+ years of experience as a Database Developer, SQL Developer, Data Warehouse Developer, or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and advanced T-SQL development.
  • Proven experience in SQL performance tuning and optimization, including query optimization, execution plans, and indexing.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience in Data Warehouse implementation and maintenance.
  • Good knowledge and hands-on experience in data modeling and Data Warehouse concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for ETL development, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong experience in data integration and transformation across multiple data sources.
  • Experience supporting reporting and analytics solutions through database and data development.
  • Proven ability to work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand and deliver data/analytics requirements.
  • Advanced Life Insurance domain knowledge is mandatory.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to data accuracy and quality.
