Job Description

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Administer and maintain Oracle databases in production, UAT, and development environments.
  • Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform tuning activities using AWR and ADDM.
  • Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies using RMAN and Data Guard.
  • Perform database migration, replication, and synchronization using Data Pump and GoldenGate.
  • Ensure database security compliance and implement monitoring protocols.
  • Support and maintain hybrid database environments across on-premises and cloud-based solutions.
  • Automate database administration tasks using Shell Scripting (Bash), PL/SQL, and Python.
  • Manage and monitor databases using tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), TOAD, SQL Developer, and Putty.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and development teams to ensure database stability and performance.
  • Monitor emerging database technologies, trends, and security vulnerabilities to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support incident handling, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in Database Administration.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle Database, PL/SQL, Python
  • Hands-on experience with: RMAN, Data Pump, Data Guard, GoldenGate
  • Strong knowledge of database high availability, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Experience with Oracle administration and monitoring tools: Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), TOAD, SQL Developer, Putty
  • Advanced administration experience on: RHEL/CentOS, Oracle Linux
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting: Shell Scripting (Bash)
  • Solid understanding of database security, compliance, and performance tuning best practices.
  • Experience working in hybrid environments combining on-premises and cloud-based databases is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in operational environments.
