ABOUT THE JOB
- Administer and maintain Oracle databases in production, UAT, and development environments.
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform tuning activities using AWR and ADDM.
- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies using RMAN and Data Guard.
- Perform database migration, replication, and synchronization using Data Pump and GoldenGate.
- Ensure database security compliance and implement monitoring protocols.
- Support and maintain hybrid database environments across on-premises and cloud-based solutions.
- Automate database administration tasks using Shell Scripting (Bash), PL/SQL, and Python.
- Manage and monitor databases using tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), TOAD, SQL Developer, and Putty.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and development teams to ensure database stability and performance.
- Monitor emerging database technologies, trends, and security vulnerabilities to improve operational efficiency.
- Support incident handling, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in Database Administration.
- Strong expertise in Oracle Database, PL/SQL, Python
- Hands-on experience with: RMAN, Data Pump, Data Guard, GoldenGate
- Strong knowledge of database high availability, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Experience with Oracle administration and monitoring tools: Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), TOAD, SQL Developer, Putty
- Advanced administration experience on: RHEL/CentOS, Oracle Linux
- Proficiency in automation and scripting: Shell Scripting (Bash)
- Solid understanding of database security, compliance, and performance tuning best practices.
- Experience working in hybrid environments combining on-premises and cloud-based databases is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in operational environments.
