As a
Data Scientist Intern, you will work directly with real, high-impact O2O data to solve practical business problems such as tasker-customer smart matching, demand forecasting, supply-demand balancing, user retention, and pricing & incentive optimization.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Analyze large-scale data from customer bookings, bTasker behavior, geospatial patterns, and service completion rates to uncover trends and business opportunities .
- Build and experiment with simple models for demand forecasting by service type, district, and time; smart matching/recommendation between customers and bTaskers.
- Support the design, implementation, and analysis of A/B tests for new features (e.g., improved booking flow, new matching algorithm, or pricing experiments).
- Create clear visualizations and reports (using Python + Looker/Tableau) to communicate findings to Product, Operations, and Marketing teams.
- Assist the Data Engineering team in feature engineering and preparing clean datasets for modeling.
Qualifications And Skills
- Final-year student or recent graduate in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields;
- Strong foundation in Python (Pandas, NumPy) or R and basic statistics (hypothesis testing, distributions);
- Solid understanding of SQL and experience querying large datasets;
- Curious, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment;
- Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts (regression, classification, clustering, evaluation metrics) is preferred.
