Job Summary

The Data Migration & Cutover Lead is responsible for planning, managing, and executing all data migration and cutover activities for the Client Global Template implementation. This role ensures accurate data migration and a smooth transition from legacy systems to the new environment, minimizing business disruption and ensuring compliance with Client policies and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Migration Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and maintain the Data Migration Strategy and Plan.
  • Define migration approach for master and transactional data objects.

2. Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to Client Data Conversion Policy.
  • Maintain documentation for reconciliation, sign-off, and compliance checks.

3. Execution & Coordination

  • Oversee data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and upload cycles (DM#1, DM#2, DM#3, final cutover).
  • Coordinate with functional teams, business owners, and technical teams for data readiness check & follow-up

4. Testing & Validation

  • Manage mock runs and validate data integrity post-load.
  • Ensure defect resolution and sign-off for each migration cycle.

5. Risk Management

  • Identify migration risks and develop contingency plans.
  • Lead cutover activities and ensure business continuity.

6. Stakeholder Communication

  • Provide regular status updates to Program Management and Steering Committee.
  • Facilitate issue resolution and escalation as needed.

  • Migration Cycle Reports (Mock Runs, Final Cutover)

Requirement

  • Local Vietnamese with Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 810 years of experience in IT implementation or SAP/ERP projects, with 35 years in Data Migration or Cutover Lead roles.
  • Strong understanding of data migration processes (extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, and validation).
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data migration methodologies.
  • Familiar with SAP data structures, IDocs, LSMW, BAPIs, or other data load tools.
  • Knowledge of cutover planning, sequencing, dependency management, and post-go-live support.
  • Ability to develop data migration strategy, templates, and governance framework.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage multiple migration cycles (mock runs, dry runs, final cutover).
  • Strong documentation and reconciliation skills to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Experience with stakeholder coordination cross-functional teams, business users, and technical experts.
  • Excellent risk assessment and issue management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English & Vietnamese (both verbal and written).
  • Strong leadership, ownership, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage tight timelines during cutover phases.
  • High attention to detail, structured thinking, and proactive attitude.
