Established in 2019 as Vietnam's pioneering Buy Now, Pay Later provider, Fundiin is evolving into a data-first, AI-enabled platform for financial services in 2026. Fundiin partners with leading banks and financial institutions to orchestrate and optimize the distribution of a wide range of products - from BNPL and personal loans to credit cards - through a single and seamless app.

We're looking for a hands-on Data Manager to own and continuously improve Fundiin's existing data platform, supporting credit decisioning, risk management, and business insights.
This role focuses on ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency of the current system, while evolving it to support growing business needs and new use cases (e.g., near real-time data, ML).
You will lead a small team while remaining hands-on as a player-coach.
What you will do
1. Data Platform
- Own and operate the existing data platform (Airflow, dbt, Data Warehouse)
- Improve pipeline reliability, performance, and cost efficiency
- Optimize and refactor ETL/ELT pipelines as data grows
- Enhance monitoring, alerting, and data observability
- Evolve data models and architecture to support business needs
2. Data Quality & Governance
- Improve and expand existing data quality frameworks
- Ensure a single source of truth for key business metrics
- Standardize and refine critical metrics (e.g., approval rate, default rate)
- Improve data lineage, access control, and governance practices
3. Stakeholder & Impact
- Work closely with Risk, Product, Finance, and Operations
- Translate business problems into scalable data solutions
- Deliver reliable data and insights to support decision-making
- Prioritize initiatives based on business impact
4. Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor Data Engineers & Data Analysts
- Set priorities, allocate workload, and ensure delivery
- Establish best practices for data modeling and development
- Act as a player-coach (hands-on + leadership)
5. Data & ML Enablement
- Support data needs for ML use cases (e.g., credit scoring, fraud detection)
- Collaborate on feature design and dataset preparation
- Build and maintain pipelines for model training and scoring
What you need to succeed
Must have
- 4-7 years of experience in Data (DE / AE / DA)
- Strong SQL and Python
- Experience with Airflow (or similar), dbt, and Data Warehouse
- Strong data modeling skills
- Experience owning and improving production data systems
- Experience with transactional/financial data (fintech preferred)
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech or risk/product analytics
- Familiarity with data quality / observability tools
- Experience with CI/CD or streaming (Kafka, Pub/Sub)
- Exposure to ML / scoring systems
