We're looking for a Data Expert to architect large-scale data platforms, collaborate directly with government stakeholders, and provide technical leadership to a team of Data Engineers. Job Description
- Advise, design, and directly implement data solutions for some of Vietnam's largest Government Digital Transformation projects.
- Analyze business requirements and propose end-to-end data architecture along with a scalable platform roadmap tailored to each project phase.
- Design and build enterprise-scale Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Lakehouses to enable centralized, cross-sector data analytics.
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, integrating data from multiple heterogeneous sources into a unified data platform.
- Build large-scale batch and real-time data processing solutions capable of supporting mission-critical national systems.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security compliance in accordance with the stringent standards required for government projects.
- Evaluate, recommend, and select the most appropriate technologies and data platforms based on each customer's unique business challenges—choosing the right technology for the right problem rather than following predefined solutions.
- Serve as the technical anchor for the Data Engineering team by reviewing solution architecture, solving complex technical challenges, and mentoring team members to strengthen overall engineering capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with clients, Business Analysts, and Project Managers to translate business requirements into practical and scalable technical solutions.
- Prepare solution documentation, deliver technical presentations, and support presales activities for large-scale data initiatives.
Job requirements
- At least 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer or Data Platform Engineer, with a strong focus on on-premises data platform implementation.
- Proven experience serving as a Technical Lead or Data Solution Consultant (people management experience is not required).
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and large-scale data processing techniques.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, or Data Lakehouse architectures.
- Practical experience with Big Data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong understanding of Data Modeling, ETL/ELT, Data Governance, and Data Quality.
- Demonstrated ability to consult with clients, gather business requirements, and translate them into scalable technical architectures.
- Proven experience designing enterprise-scale data architectures involving multiple data sources and complex integration scenarios.
