- Build and optimize data pipelines for clients in an on-premises environment: Collect, process, clean, transform, and visualize data while ensuring proper data governance and security according to client requirements.
- Set up and manage on-premises infrastructure to support efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple sources, using technologies such as Apache Spark, Apache Flink, Apache NiFi, Apache Kafka, Hadoop, Minio, K8S/Docker, Trino, Iceberg, etc.
- Optimize production and deployment processes for client data: Automate manual workflows, improve data transfer performance, and redesign infrastructure to enhance scalability and meet project requirements.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand and meet specific on-premises data system requirements.
- Work with data and analytics experts to enhance the functionality and efficiency of on-premises data systems.
- Coordinate with the DevOps team to deploy on-premises data projects, ensuring system stability, high performance, and compliance with security standards.
Resquirements
- At least 2.5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on on-premises system deployment.
- Experience as a Software Engineer, particularly related to deploying on-premises data systems.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Scala, or Python, with strong knowledge of core concepts such as multithreading, synchronization, database handling, file processing, logging, basic data processing algorithms, and data testing.
- Experience with RDBMS (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, especially Oracle), Linux (bash scripts, firewall, etc.), Git, Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, and Airflow.
- Knowledge of testing and documentation practices in past projects, especially in on-premises environments.
- Experience with Data Lakehouse or Data Warehouse on-premises projects is a plus.
- Strong consulting skills to meet on-premises deployment requirements.
