ABOUT THE JOB
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and efficient data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.
- Develop and manage data architecture solutions, ensuring systems are optimized for performance and scalability.
- Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Integrate data from diverse sources, including APIs, databases, and third-party platforms, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Monitor and optimize data workflows and infrastructure to enhance performance and reduce latency.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and evaluate their potential to enhance the data engineering function.
- Contribute to data modeling efforts to enhance data accessibility and usability.
- Assist in the integration of SSIS for data workflows when necessary.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or related fields.
- 3.5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related data-focused role.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platform such as Azure, AWS or GCP (Azure is a big plus).
- Strong experience in designing and developing ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Experience with big data processing frameworks such as Spark or Databricks is a plus.
- Good understanding of data quality, data validation, data mapping, and data transformation practices.
- Ability to analyze legacy data systems and support migration planning, execution, and validation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, version control, and cloud deployment practices is an advantage.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders
