Data Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business requirements gathering:

- Engage business to gather data & reporting requirements

- Produce detailed mapping documents

- Obtain sign off approvals on requirements and mappings from business

Technical/Architecture design:

- Design the solutions in accordance with the IAL Architecture

- Design the EDH objects as per IAL's direction

- Update object details in EBG (Enterprise Business Glossary)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

3+ years of hands-on experience in Big Data Engineering.

Fluent english skill

Professional experience using Java (Python) for data processing.

Demonstrably deep understanding of SQL and analytical data warehouses

Hands-on experience implementing ETL (or ELT) and data pipeline practice best practices at scale.

Hands-on experience with data tools (Airflow, dbt, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop)

Strong data modeling skills and familiarity with the Kimball methodology

Experience should include DB design (modeling and normalization), capacity planning, and performance tuning.

Familiar with Oracle database and the financial / risk management domain is a plus.
