Key Responsibilities:1. Data Warehouse & ETL/ELT Pipeline Development:
- Data Modeling:Design and build our data warehouse structure usingStar Schema or Snowflake Schemato optimize for analytical reporting.
- ETL/ELT Management:Develop, deploy, and maintain robust data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources (SAP, Web Apps, CRM, Excel, etc.) into the central data warehouse.
- Data Integrity:Implement data validation rules and automated checks to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data across all systems.
2. Database Administration & Performance Optimization:
- Database Management:Install, configure, and manage our core database systems (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Performance Tuning:Optimize query performance for both transactional databases and the data warehouse using techniques likePartitioning, Indexing, and Materialized Views.
- Backup & Security:Design and implement robust backup, recovery, and security policies to protect company data.
- Storage Management:Monitor and forecast large-scale data storage needs; implement data compression and cold storage strategies to optimize costs.
Requirements:- Experience:1-3 years of hands-on experience in aData Engineer, DBA, or BI Developerrole.
- Strong proficiency in advanced SQLwith practical experience in:
- BuildingETL/ELT pipelinesfrom various data sources.
- Designing data models(e.g., Star Schema).
- Database performance tuning(indexing, query optimization).
- Experience administering a major database system (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.) and familiarity with ETL tools or scripting (Python) is a plus.
- You possess a logical mindset, a passion for problem-solving, and strong teamwork skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
