WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks platform (Spark, Delta Lake, etc)
- Collaborate with Business/Data Analysts and stakeholders to clarify requirements
- Implement data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions on Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Optimize performance of data workflows and troubleshoot issues in large-scale distributed systems
- Implement and maintain data quality checks (schema validation, deduplication, enrichment, tagging)
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security across all data processes.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and contribute to best practices.
- (Senior level) Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and influence architectural decisions
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related fields
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark
- Proficiency in Python/PySpark or Scala for data processing
- Experience with Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and their data services
- Experience with data modeling (Star schema) and medallion architecture
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, data lake, and lakehouse architecture
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git. Knowledge of Databricks Asset Bundle is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team
- Certifications in Databricks or Cloud platforms are a plus
