Data Engineer

Job Description

ABOUT THE JOB

• Design and implement data models, data-marts, and datasets on a Hadoop-based data warehouse and data hub
• Interface directly with business and systems subject matter experts to understand analytic needs and determine logical data model requirements
• Develop and implement ETL processes across Hadoop, BI systems, and databases
• Work closely with data architects to identify common data requirements and develop shared solutions
• Collaborate with senior analysts and data owners across multiple business domains to align data strategies
• Maintain data modeling standards and ETL best practices to ensure consistency and quality
• Support data model and ETL solutions in production environments
• Prepare data for analysis and reporting by creating analytical datasets and defining user-friendly data models (e.g., star schema)

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience in data engineering or a similar role
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and SQL
• Experience with large-scale data lake or data warehouse implementation on public cloud environments
• Proficiency in Python or Scala; understanding of CI/CD pipelines on AWS is a plus
• Experience with analytical tools for data discovery, modeling, visualization, and analysis
• Good English communication skills would be a plus
• You demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a client-centric mindset and a sense of accountability
