Data Engineer + AI Engineer (Hybrid Role)

2. Role Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer & AI Integration Specialist to join our growing data and AI team. This hybrid role combines responsibilities in building robust data pipelines with integrating and deploying machine learning models and AI solutions.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes, cloud platforms, and modern AI/LLM technologies. You will work closely with data scientists, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver scalable data infrastructure and production-ready AI systems.

3. Key Responsibilities

* Data Engineering

- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines (batch and real-time)

- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using modern data tools

- Ensure data quality, reliability, and accessibility across the organization

- Work with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS)

- Implement data warehousing and lakehouse architectures

* AI/ML Integration

- Deploy and operationalize machine learning models in production

- Build and optimize RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines

- Integrate LLMs and AI services into existing systems

- Develop AI-powered features (chatbots, recommendations, automation)

* Collaboration & Best Practices

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Science, Product, Engineering)

- Document data pipelines and AI workflows

4. REQUIREMENTS

Technical Skills

- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering and/or AI Engineering

- Effectively utilizing AI Agent tools for developers (Cursor, Claude)

- Proficient in Python (required); SQL expertise is a must

- Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, or Azure or GCP

- Hands-on experience with docker and microservices architecture

- Familiar with data pipelines and version control (Git)

Data Engineering

- Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT tools and frameworks (Airflow, Kafka and redis)

- Work with RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB) and optimize SQL queries for performance.

- Understanding of data modeling and warehouse design patterns AI/ML

- Experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)

- Knowledge of LLM integration (OpenAI API, LangChain, RAG)

- Familiarity with vector databases, Graph databases

- Understanding of ML model deployment and optimization

Soft Skills

- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking

- Good communication and teamwork abilities

- Ability to work independently and manage priorities

- English proficiency for technical documentation

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data engineer

- Experience with data pipeline platforms

- Experience building production-grade AI agent
