Summary:
- Focus on data simplification, platform stability, and governance, and own the end-to-end data infrastructure strategy for the organization.
- Create and maintain a data architecture for the OpCo. Work together with Product owners, Business stakeholders, BI/Data analysts & Data scientist.
- Design data structures based on the Enterprise architect's strategy and Product architect's requirements.
Roles & responsibilities:
- Set direction, from an architecture perspective about how products and programs should join up across the OpCo
- Develop and maintain the data architecture roadmaps, making sure that they are in line with the global architecture strategy
- Lead development of data architecture standards for data collection, maintenance, storage, and organization and align these with the global standards.
- Coordinate or lead data governance frameworks and centralized data quality monitoring processes across domains.
- Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions
- Advise Product owners and the OpCo on outside perspectives/innovations related to data architecture
- Define & optimize DWH data models
- Define & oversee DataOps, DevOps/MLOps and engineering best practices across data team
Experience & profile:
- Bachelor or Master degree in engineering, systems design, computer sciences, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience with IT architecture and/or data engineering, analytics engineering.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience leading teams.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to translate business needs into data architecture and platform decisions.
- Proven experience with enterprise data architecture, data governance frameworks and data quality standards
- Experience with delivering thought leadership and crafting high-level strategy on data structure and architecture
- Knowledge of data architecture principles
- Proven experience with architecture frameworks and concepts (e.g. ETL-management, cloud stacks, etc.)
- An understanding of how data is used within business processes and its impact
- Analytically and quantitatively strong and highly structured
- Ability to explain complex technical processes to business stakeholders
- Proven problem solving skills, ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast paced environment.
