This role is for aData Analytics Engineer ready to evolve into agentic AI systems. You'll build the semantic and analytical foundations that power LLM-driven analytics agentsconnecting raw data, business logic, and AI reasoning.
You'll grow beyond traditional analytics engineering to designfull agent workflows, including context retrieval, memory, and insight generation, enabling business users to ask complex questions and receivetrustworthy, decision-ready answers. Your work will shape how both humans and AI systems interact with production data at scale.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintainrobust analytical data models and transformationsthat encode business logic and metrics
- Buildsemantic layers(metrics, dimensions, definitions, lineage) that translate raw data into business concepts
- Integrate semantic layers withLLM-powered analytics agents, enabling natural language querying and insight generation
- Developcontext and metadata retrieval(schemas, metrics, definitions, examples) to ground LLM reasoning
- Partner with AI and product teams toevolve from semantic analytics into full agent workflows, including memory and multi-step analysis
Job Requirements
Must-Have
- 4+ years of experience indata engineering or analytics engineering, with a strong focus on data modeling and transformation
- Advanced proficiency inSQLand experience with modern data transformation tools (dbt, Spark, Airflow, or similar)
- Strong understanding ofdimensional modeling, analytical schemas, and data warehouse architectures
- Experience building or managingsemantic layers, metrics frameworks, or BI data models
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear, maintainable data and semantic abstractions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working withdata platforms or analytics stacks(Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
- Exposure toLLMs or AI-driven analytics, including natural language querying or insight generation
- Familiarity withcontext engineering concepts: metadata retrieval, grounding, prompt inputs, or schema selection
- Experience collaborating onagentic systems, such as multi-step analytics workflows or tool-based reasoning
- Proficiency inPythonand interest in building AI-integrated data products
- Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and quality frameworks
