Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Specialist to join the Applus security team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for detecting, analysing, and responding to security incidents, as
well as implementing and maintaining advanced security solutions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Detect and respond to security incidents across Applus.
- Perform log analysis to identify anomalies and potential threats.
- Develop and implement preventive security measures (detection, monitoring, exploitation).
- Build scalable and efficient security tools to support the Applus security team.
- Manage and mitigate vulnerabilities across systems and infrastructure.
- Maintain and enhance existing security tools.
- Test, evaluate, and validate security products and technologies.
- Stay current with emerging security trends, technologies, and industry best practices.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Strong understanding of networks and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Solid knowledge of network and system administration, virtualization, software development lifecycle, security assessment, and penetration testing.
- Fluent English (spoken and written).
- Experience performing pentesting and technical audits will be highly valued.
- Strong teamwork abilities with a proactive and responsible attitude.
- Highly motivated, problem-solving mindset.
Required Experience
- Have 34 years of experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst, specifically in cybersecurity incident management.
- Experience in Cybersecurity Operations environments, particularly SOC L1L2, is considered a plus.
- Proven experience with security tools such as: FW, EDR, IDS/IPS, NAC, MDM, SIEM, CASB, SEG, WAF
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., nmap, Nessus, Nexpose, OpenVAS, etc.).

- Working time: 8.30 am 5.30 pm from Monday to Friday.
