Role Description The Customs Brokerage Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Hai Phong City, Vietnam. This role oversees daily customs brokerage operations, including managing import and export declarations, ensuring compliance with local and international customs regulations, and monitoring documentation accuracy. The supervisor coordinates with internal teams, carriers, and customers to resolve clearance issues, optimize workflows, and maintain service quality. Responsibilities include supervising a brokerage team, training and mentoring staff, allocating workloads, and reviewing performance to meet operational targets. The role also involves analyzing process bottlenecks, implementing improvements, and supporting inventory and shipment tracking to deliver efficient, compliant customs solutions.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills for reviewing customs documentation, monitoring KPIs, and identifying process improvements.
  • Candidates should possess Operations Management skills to oversee brokerage workflows, manage teams, and coordinate end-to-end customs processes.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to interact with customs authorities, carriers, internal departments, and customers in a clear and professional manner.
  • Candidates should possess Inventory Management skills to support accurate tracking of bonded goods, shipments, and warehouse-related customs activities.
  • Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to handle inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Relevant experience in customs brokerage, international trade, or logistics, including knowledge of customs regulations and tariff classifications.
  • Ability to work on-site in Hai Phong City, Vietnam, with strong attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency with customs and logistics software; familiarity with EDI/API systems is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience in a customs or freight environment is preferred.
