Job Description
Operational Oversight
- Check space and pricing based on cargo type and agent requirements.
- Send schedules, cargo details, and freight charges; offer alternative solutions when needed.
- Process bookings and slot reservations, ensuring carriers complete orders as planned.
- Communicate with shipping lines for space requests, SI/CY deadline extensions, COD, and weight verification.
Shipment Monitoring
- Confirm shipment plans with shippers 3-4 days before cutoff to avoid shortfalls.
- Ensure SI/sales memo information is accurate and shared on time.
- Update shipment status and resolve issues quickly to protect customer satisfaction.
Customer Support & Key Account Handling
- Deliver excellent customer service and manage escalations.
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts and understand accountspecific requirements.
- Provide regular market updates and recommendations to agents and consignees.
CrossFunctional Collaboration
- Coordinate closely with Operations, Sales, and other internal teams to ensure seamless processes.
- Report fixedaccount allocations to the global team.
Team Management
- Oversee the performance of the CS team to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions.
- Develop and deliver training programs for new and existing staff.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade, International Economics, Maritime Transport, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or importexport customer service.
- Strong English communication skills (written & spoken).
- Strong leadership, problemsolving, and decisionmaking abilities.
- Familiarity with industryspecific processes such as booking, SI documentation, CY deadlines, and shipment tracking.
