Job Summary

To provide a first point of contact for the Customer about quality related issues. Collect root cause analysis data and provide corrective feedback to prevent line stops due to quality issues. Responsible for ensuring that the products produced meet quality standards required to minimize quality costs and maximize customer satisfaction whilst ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to. Ensure incoming materials meet required quality standards. Support new product introductions to ensure the robustness of product builds with a clean cut-off, minimizing obsolete stock. Work in a team environment to develop and implement best practices that emphasize defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste and provide for continuous improvements in meeting all customer requirements. Manage the customer specific requirements and offer technical support. Work on many phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of moderate complexity, with results impacting on project completion. Work mostly independently under general supervision, reviewed at project milestones and/or on completion by Senior Management.

Main Duty and Responsibilities

  • Responsible to handle customer quality key account and be totally responsible for the customer part quality.
  • Be part of the APQP team to develop robust processes to ensure all quality targets are met.
  • Develop Inspection Plan/ Control plan to drive the operation to achieve high efficiency, effectiveness and reducing 7 wastes
  • Monitor customer score card performance and establish improvement plan to achieve customer targets.
  • Update Customer performance on monthly basis and conduct continuous improvement actions as needed.
  • To attend and arrangize meetings with customers related to quality issues (e.g NPI; ECN change; monthly quality audit; quality issue on non- conformance parts).
  • To issue periodic quality report and ensure customer's complaints 8D report on time
  • To update, review and implement Quality Systems to ensure all customer specify requirements are met.
  • To handle customer audits from time to time and implement corrective actions to ensure full compliance to customer requirements
  • To assist purchasing team to quality new supplier and perform yearly audit and resolve incoming material issues
  • To support Quality System team to establish, maintain & improve Quality Management System in accordance with IATF 16949 / ISO9001 / ISO 14001 standard

Requirements

  • University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Have got 37 years QA experiences in Metal Stamping Process or high-volume production environment
  • Strong GD&T skills and able to perform measurement judgement and competent in measuring jig and checking jig design for dimensional measurement purposes
  • Strong experience in automotive 5 core tools – APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC
  • Must be experienced and certified in ISO9001/IATF16949 internal audits. CQI and VDA audit experiences are added advantage
  • Knowledge of Kaizen, LEAN 6-Sigma etc... Green or Black belt qualification is added advantage
  • Good communication skills in English or Mandarin, strong mardarin is preffered.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Hardworking, and Flexible in working hours and able to work under pressure
