Role Purpose

As part of Marou's International team, the Creative Communications Designer Intern produces the full range of visual assets that support Marou's commercial activity from digital advertising and short-form video to B2B catalogs and print collateral. This is a multidisciplinary role for a versatile designer who can move comfortably between motion, static, and editorial work while keeping a consistent premium brand identity across every output.

The intern is expected to actively participate in creative briefing, translating marketing objectives into visual direction and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure briefs are well understood and well executed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

Briefing & creative direction

  • Participate in creative kickoffs with the international team to translate commercial objectives into clear visual and content direction.
  • Contribute to writing and refining creative briefs for campaigns, content, and projects.
  • Brief and coordinate with external agencies, freelancers to ensure deliverables meet brand standards and timelines.
  • Present concepts and design to internal stakeholders, gather feedback, and iterate.

Advertising creatives

  • Design static and animated ad creatives for Meta, Google, and marketplace platforms.
  • Produce social-feed graphics, carousels, story frames, and email/CRM banners. Develop localized variants (EN/FR) and A/B versions to support performance testing.

Video content

  • Shoot and edit short-form video content for social medias.
  • Produce light motion graphics and animated assets for paid campaigns.
  • Capture product b-roll, packshots, and behind-the-scenes footage.

Catalog & print materials

  • Lay out and update B2B catalogs, wholesale lookbooks, and sales sheets in InDesign.
  • Design product one-pagers, line cards, press kits, and trade-show collateral.
  • Support packaging, POS, and event print materials when needed.

Brand consistency

  • Ensure visual identity is consistent across digital, retail, and print touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with the International team and external agencies on campaign visuals.
  • Maintain and organize a clean asset library across formats and markets.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency in English.
  • Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop or similar.
  • Proficient in video editing with Premiere Pro and/or CapCut; basic After Effects literacy.
  • Comfortable with Figma for digital design and handoff.
  • Comfortable interpreting briefs and presenting creative rationale in English.
  • Able to manage multiple parallel projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Organized, proactive, and capable of working independently.
  • A portfolio demonstrating both motion and editorial layout work is required.

PREFERABLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience designing for e-commerce, F&B, or premium lifestyle brands.
  • Understanding of branding, typography, and visual storytelling.
  • Photography skills (product or lifestyle).
  • After Effects motion-design experience.
  • French language skills (B2+).
  • Experience working in an international or fast-paced creative environment.

This internship is based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, offering a unique opportunity to live, work, and immerse yourself in a vibrant new culture. To make the most of this experience, we're looking for someone who is independent, adaptable, and excited to embrace life abroad.

  • Travel & Accommodation: You'll be responsible for arranging and covering the cost of your round-trip flights, as well as finding and managing your own accommodation during the internship.

Expected joining date: September, 2026

Internship duration: Full-time for 6 months, Monday to Friday (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM).

Working location: Marou Chocolate Office, 160 B2 Street, An Khanh Ward, HCMC.
