As Country Recovery Manager, you will lead the recovery and rehabilitation of non-performing loan (NPL) accounts, ensuring optimal turnaround strategies and maximizing recovery for Maybank Vietnam. This role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills to manage complex portfolios and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Management: Identify, review, and manage vulnerable accounts under NPL status.
- Strategic Recovery: Devise and implement rehabilitation strategies, including restructuring and rescheduling proposals, to maximize recovery and write-back.
- Assessment & Recommendation: Evaluate Scheme of Arrangements and make recommendations for Management's decision.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with financial advisors, solicitors, valuers, and other external parties to facilitate remedial actions.
- Reporting & Compliance: Prepare reports for regulatory authorities and internal committees, ensuring adherence to Bank Negara Malaysia and Maybank Group requirements.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct post-mortem reviews on NPL accounts and provide feedback to improve asset quality.
- Documentation & Legal: Ensure completeness and accuracy of security documentation with support from Credit and Legal departments.
- Monitoring & Implementation: Supervise approved repayment proposals and ensure compliance with settlement terms.
- Process Improvement: Support Planning and Business Excellence Department in enhancing processes and data management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
- Experience and background in corporate banking, credit risk, remedial management, or related fields.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, analytical and problem-solving ability to handle complex financial data, ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with restructuring, insolvency, and legal processes.
- Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external parties
