Country Manager (Philippines)

Job Description:

1. Market Strategy & Business Development

Build and execute business strategy for the Philippines market; analyze Ecommerce & Social Commerce landscape and priority industries.

Own revenue growth, P&L, KPIs, and sustainable business performance.

2. Ecommerce & Social Commerce Operations

Own end-to-end Ecommerce & Social Commerce operations across platforms.

Drive store performance, livestream, short-video, affiliate, and KOL/KOC activities; standardize local SOPs.

3. Supply Chain, ImportExport & Fulfillment

Manage importexport, fulfillment, inventory, COD, and payment reconciliation.

Optimize operational efficiency, cost, and regulatory compliance.

4. Platform & Partnership Management

Work directly with key platforms (Shopee PH, TikTok Shop PH, Meta).

Build and manage partnerships with logistics, payment, KOL/MCN, and tech partners.

5. Legal & Compliance Management

Coordinate legal entity setup and operations in the Philippines.

Ensure compliance with corporate, labor, tax, and ecommerce regulations.

6. Team Building & People Development

Build, lead, and develop local teams across key functions.

Establish KPIs/OKRs and a high-performance culture aligned with UpBase values.

7. Reporting & Regional Collaboration

Report business, financial, and operational performance to BOD.

Collaborate with Vietnam HQ and SEA teams; contribute to regional strategy.

Requirements

- Vietnamese candidate permanently residing and working in the Philippines.

- English: Fluent (mandatory), Filipino is a plus.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Ecommerce/Social Commerce/Digital commerce operations

- Strong understanding of: Importexport procedures, Warehouse & fulfillment operations, Payment systems and reconciliation

- Hands-on experience working with: Shopee, TikTok Shop, Meta (Facebook)

- Solid knowledge of Philippine corporate law and labor law, or proven experience working with local legal advisors.

- Strong strategic thinking and P&L management capability.

- Strong negotiation and partnership management skills.

- Data-driven, results-oriented mindset.

- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
