Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and execute country sales strategy aligned with regional and global objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities across Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Contract Logistics, and Multimodal solutions.
- Expand the customer portfolio with a focus on strategic verticals (e.g., retail, technology, industrial, healthcare).
- Conduct market research to understand competitive landscape, pricing trends, and customer needs.
2. Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including global and regional accounts.
- Lead high‑value negotiations, bids, and RFQ/RFP processes.
- Ensure exceptional customer experience through proactive engagement and issue resolution.
3. Sales Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop the country sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
- Set KPIs, monitor performance, and drive a high‑performance sales culture.
- Provide ongoing training on products, pricing, value‑selling, and industry developments.
4. Financial & Commercial Management
- Own the country sales budget, revenue goals, and gross profit delivery.
- Ensure profitable business acquisition through disciplined pricing and margin management.
- Coordinate closely with finance and operations to validate costing, feasibility, and risk assessments.
5. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work with operations, customer service, and product teams to ensure smooth onboarding and retention of accounts.
- Collaborate with regional product heads to align on capacity, service levels, and pricing strategies.
- Support digital product adoption and customer-facing technology initiatives.
6. Reporting & Analytics
- Track sales performance using CRM tools and prepare monthly/quarterly business reviews.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and pipeline visibility to senior management.
- Analyze sales metrics to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 8–12+ years of experience in freight forwarding sales, including leadership responsibilities.
- Proven track record in selling Air/Ocean freight and integrated logistics solutions.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation and strategic selling skills.
- Deep understanding of international trade, INCOTERMS, and global logistics.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.
- CRM proficiency (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
Preferred
- Experience in APAC markets or multinational logistics companies.
- Existing network of global and regional freight forwarding customers, especially in High Tech, Semiconductors, Electronics and Aerospace verticals on Transpacific and Intra-Asia lanes.
Knowledge of e‑commerce logistics or digital supply chain solutions
