We are hiring a Corporate Strategy Associate/Lead to work directly on high-priority questions facing the business. You will move between market intelligence, and strategic projects, building the analysis and recommendations that inform decisions at the leadership and board level.
This is a high-ownership role for someone with 2-3 years in a demanding analytical environment who wants broad exposure to how a leading regional e-commerce player is built and scaled. Expect to own workstreams end-to-end, present to senior stakeholders, and see your work translate into decisions.
Responsibilities
• Market intelligence: Build market and competitive intelligence on Southeast Asian e-commerce, platform dynamics (Shopee, TikTok Shop, Lazada), category trends, and competitor moves, and turn it into a clear point of view for leadership.
• Strategic projects: Own strategic projects from problem definition to recommendation: structuring the question, gathering data, running the analysis, and packaging findings for executive audiences.
• Business modeling: Build financial and operating models (e.g. market sizing, unit economics, brand and platform P&L, scenario analysis).
• Communication: Assist in preparing board and leadership materials, and briefs for key customer and partnership meetings.
• Cross-functional coordination: Partner across Commercial, Operations, Finance, and Data teams to source inputs, pressure-test assumptions, and drive initiatives to a decision.
• Corporate development: Support corporate development: screen and evaluate acquisition, partnership, and new-market opportunities, including market sizing, business-case modeling, and due-diligence analysis
• Operating cadence: Sharpen how the company runs: simplify cross-functional processes, strengthen the rhythm of planning and business reviews, and remove friction so decisions get made faster and initiatives move at pace.
Qualifications
• Experience: 2–3 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, e-commerce, or a comparable analytical skillset.
• Drive: High ownership and a bias toward getting things done in a fast-moving environment.
• Comfort with ambiguity: Thrives amid shifting priorities and incomplete information; able to define structure and make progress without waiting for perfect data.
• Analytical rigor: Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills; fluent in Excel, PowerPoint and comfortable building analysis from ambiguous or incomplete data.
• AI toolkit: Strong capabilities and flexibility in using AI to improve your own and other's productivity.
• Problem-solving: Structured problem-solving — able to break down an open-ended question, form a hypothesis, and drive to an answer with limited direction.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication in English; able to build a compelling, executive-ready narrative (PowerPoint).
