About the Department

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operations & Service Management
  • Supervise and manage the account opening and maintenance process for corporate, institutional, and foreign bank clients.
  • Ensure all requests are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., KYC, AML, FATCA, CRS).
  • Maintain close coordination with Relationship Managers, Compliance, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and account management.
  • Oversee customer document verification, approval workflow, and system data input accuracy.
  • Manage periodic account reviews, updates, and closure requests according to established procedures.
  • Compliance & Risk Control
  • Ensure strict adherence to all internal controls, regulatory frameworks, and audit requirements.
  • Identify process risks and implement mitigating controls to reduce operational and compliance risk.
  • Assist and support as a key contact for internal and external audits related to account opening and client onboarding.
  • Escalate any irregularities in accordance with AML/CFT policy.
  • Team Leadership & Performance
  • Lead and develop a team of account service officers/executives; set clear performance goals and monitor results.
  • Provide coaching, training, and guidance to enhance team knowledge of product types, client categories, and regulatory obligations.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and customer focus.
  • Process Improvement & Project Participation
  • Continuously review account opening workflows to streamline processes and improve turnaround time.
  • Drive automation and digitalization initiatives to enhance client experience.
  • Participate in system enhancement projects, user acceptance testing (UAT), and policy updates.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Support Relationship Managers and front-line teams in onboarding clients and resolving account-related issues.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on account opening requirements for complex client structures (e.g., FDI, offshore entities, non-resident corporations).
  • Ensure professional communication and service delivery aligned with the bank's service standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate banking, relationship management, or a similar client-facing role within the financial services industry, preferably with exposure to the Vietnamese market.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing a portfolio of corporate clients.
  • Strong understanding of corporate banking products and services, including trade finance, cash management, treasury, and lending.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in English and Vietnamese, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
