Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Copywriter Lead is responsible for managing and directly executing content for various campaigns under the guidance of the Creative Lead, with a strong focus on social-first and influencer campaigns.

The ideal candidate must stay on top of the team's workload, proactively resolve content-related issues, and provide timely updates to the Creative Lead to ensure a consistent creative output from planning through execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Content Strategy & Proposal Development

  • Lead the content and visual direction for diverse campaigns, including social-first/influencer campaigns, IMC, production, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Lead, Design Lead, Account, and Planning teams to crack briefs, developing proposals that are on-strategy, on-brief, and on-time.
  • Brainstorm ideas, concepts, visual directions, and copy/wording with the creative team.
  • Build content frameworks, content pillars, content angles, social hooks, and other necessary content components for proposals/campaigns.
  • Participate in presenting ideas to internal teams or clients.

2. Content Writing & Execution

  • Write and finalize key campaign content assets, including key messages, social posts, video scripts, KOL/KOC briefs, livestream flows, and other execution materials.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the brand voice, delivers clear messages, fits each platform, and is highly feasible for execution.
  • Go on-site/on-set when necessary to quality-control (QC) content, wording, scripts, flows, or any details related to the creative direction during production.

3. Research & Social Understanding

  • Proactively research products, industries, target audiences, influencer personas, competitor activities, and social trends to develop tailored content for each campaign and sector.
  • Stay updated on local and international content, social, and creator trends to grasp new formats, hooks, storytelling methods, and user behaviors on current and emerging platforms.

4. Cross-team Communication & Feedback Handling

  • Communicate, negotiate, and defend content directions with related teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Flexibly adapt and refine content based on client or internal feedback while ensuring it stays true to the original creative direction.

5. Task Management & Team Guidance

  • Organize, track, and prioritize content tasks to ensure both quality and deadlines are met.
  • Review, provide feedback, and guide junior copywriters.
  • Support the team during execution, maintaining a proactive, positive attitude and collaborative spirit.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a Copywriter in an agency environment.
  • Proven experience in social-first campaigns. Experience in Influencer/KOL/KOC campaigns is a major plus.
  • Strong ability to develop content directions, key messages, content angles, social hooks, and KOL brief/script directions based on briefs, insights, and product benefits.
  • Deep understanding of social platforms, creator-led content, and social trends, with the ability to effectively apply trends to brand content.
  • Strong skills in collaboration, handling feedback, task management, meeting deadlines, and reviewing/mentoring junior copywriters.
  • Proactive, responsible, positive, and possesses a strong sense of ownership over content quality.
  • Language: Fluent in English, with the ability to comprehend briefs, write proposals/creative directions, and present in English.
  • Honest, responsible, self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn.
