Job Description

The copywriter is responsible for overseeing verbal aspects of creative works until end products; developing copy for assigned creative tasks under supervision of HoC/ CD; working closely with relevant colleagues from CR/AS and strategy to produce the most effective strategic and tactical advertising for clients.

The copywriter works together with the creative team to create ideas from ideation to execution.

Job Description:

Creative planning & Execution management:

  • Support in developing big ideas with strong concept narratives that delivers a clear, single-minded campaign.
  • Develop integrated creative concepts and content based on creative briefs across different channels.
  • Must be able to craft excellent ideas in Vietnamese language and has proficient English writing.
  • Develop creative strategy with Account Service and the Art Directors to communicate the campaign messages in a clear, captivating, and creative manner.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and clients in a clear and timely manner.
  • Regularly work with the Art Directors to share ideas, contribute visual ideas, check how copy ideas can be expressed visually, and craft copy from visual ideas.
  • Supervise production of multi-media advertising assets.
  • Execute creative based on DC standards and procedures that is reflective the client-approved plan.

Quality assurance and operations:


  • Review / check verbal aspects and all creative works to make sure they meet cost / schedule / quality requirements from client (specifically, they can answer brief, meet strategy) and give appropriate feedback to team members when necessary.
  • Check copy and layout to ensure they support each other and are on agreed strategy.

Creative awards:


  • While prioritizing client satisfaction, pursuing creative awards to gain positive reputation for the company.

Contribution to new business development:


  • Confer with HoC/ACD on making campaign proposals to potential clients when he/she deems that such proposals would benefit the clients.
  • Participate in activities to develop and acquire new business when requested by the company.

Others:


  • Follow through on advertising performance, being receptive to and participating in pre and post-testing research, if any.
  • Keep up to date on clients marketing, products, consumers trends and competitors activities, as well as local culture, etc so that effective and innovative advertising can be created.
  • Assume creative responsibility for any other duties or projects which may be given

Requirements:


  • Creative, innovative, flexible, able to quickly come up with concepts/ ideas
  • Great sense of humor
  • Hardworking, can work under high pressure to meet deadlines
  • Collaborative, good teamwork player while can work independently and responsibly
  • Possesses high level of reliability, integrity and personal ethics
  • Minimum of 3-4 years working experience at a similar position in an advertising agency
  • Understanding of Vietnamese literature from Classic to Modern time, Vietnamese folklore, myth and mythology
  • Good at using computer software of Word, Excel, Power Point etc.
  • Familiar with new technology and innovations
