Market Research

Monitor and research the domestic audiobook market:

  • Identify new trends and opportunities to provide actionable proposals.
  • Monitor and submit monthly reports on competitors copyright acquisition activities.
  • Track new releases, best-sellers, and ongoing book trends in the market in a timely manner.
  • Propose new book development projects and continuously update industry knowledge.
  • Evaluate book content, survey, and update monthly market data regarding both signed and prospective partners.
  • Conceptualize, propose, plan, and manage the execution of projects related to audiobooks and physical books invested by Fonos.

Partner Relations & Rights Negotiation

  • Connect, communicate, and negotiate with domestic and international partners, authors, and publishers regarding work copyrights.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with global and local copyright partners.
  • Monitor and manage partners copyrights (including detecting copyright infringements and implementing preventive measures).
  • Identify, propose solutions, and resolve bottlenecks or backlogs within the Copyright Department.
  • Support events and programs related to active partners managed by the department.

Legal Administration & Contract Management

Maintain comprehensive management of paperwork related to copyright acquisition and partnerships:

  • Review contracts and legal agreements.
  • Manage archives, contracts, and process Payment Requests for copyrights, Service Contracts, Joint-Venture Agreements, and Addendums as required.
  • Manage and maintain the copyright database.
  • Draft Service Contracts, Copyright Agreements, and Addendums.
  • Track contract renewals and copyright expirations at least 6 months in advance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Coordinate with other departments to achieve business objectives:

  • Select books for monthly production.
  • Identify and propose book titles for media and marketing campaigns.
  • Track and select titles for renewal or termination.
  • Introduce and support collaboration with authors, and assist Marketing with promotional activities.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Law (Preferred: Civil, Commercial, or Intellectual Property Law).
  • Experience: Proven experience in contract review and commercial negotiation (Book industry experience is NOT mandatory).
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong contract negotiation and commercial dealing skills.
  • Attention to Detail: High precision and absolute attention to detail with legal documents and copyright data.
  • English Proficiency: Fluent in English, especially in reading comprehension and international contract translation.
  • Ownership Mindset: Highly proactive and independent in managing progress and self-resolving issues.
  • AI & Tech-savvy: Open-minded; proactively leverage technology and AI to automate repetitive administrative tasks.
  • Data-savvy: Strong analytical mindset with high sensitivity to data, figures, and market trends.

Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 06:00 pm

Saturday: 9:00 am - 01:00 pm
