POSITION OVERALL:
The Procurement Lead is responsible for all purchasing activities within the organization and in support of the commercial team. He/She is expected to have close and strong collaboration with all functions including Commercial, Operations, Finance, Regional Procurement and other internal stakeholders to ensure all purchase requests are processed in line with company policies and approval budget
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Procurement Activities
- Ensures that all purchasing activities within the organization occur in the most fair, equitable and transparent manner
- Responsible to manage vendors/suppliers to comply with identified requirements, within established costs, aligned with Zoetis policies, procedures, and standards while maintaining focus on continuous improvement
- Manage vendor performance metrics with annual review of approved master vendor list
- Be responsible for the development and implementation of local Procurement SOP and establish appropriate sourcing strategies for indirect goods and services
- Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers. Track supplier performance and address/escalate supplier non-performance as appropriate
- Expected to build strong collaboration and teamwork mindset with the business units to ensure proper internal stakeholder management
Stakeholder Management and Compliance
- Ensure proper and professional communication manners to support end-users on purchasing needs
- Maintain high standards of business conduct and compliance, adhering particularly to Procurement SOP, Pharmacovigilance Policy, Global vet Policy, Zoetis values, travel & expenses policy
- Perform annual Procurement SOP review to ensure proper reflection of actual practice to ensure equity and transparency
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business admistration or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in indirect purchasing, preferable in a multinational organization
- Has good vendors/suppliers/agencies network especially with event organizers/companies
- Experience in ERP system such as SAP & Ariba
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills and sound business acumen
- Strong ethics and high integrity are must-have qualities
- Effective planning, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
