About the Opportunity
On behalf of our client, we are hiring a Contracting Manager to lead the regional supply strategy for a rapidly expanding travel group. Our client is a dynamic, investor-backed travel business with operations in the Netherlands, Vietnam, and Thailand, focusing on high-growth Asian markets.
As a Contracting Manager, you will not only manage traditional contracts but act as a Strategic Lead in securing exclusive, high-margin partnerships. You will be responsible for building a supply chain that provides a niche competitive advantage through unique boutique stays and off-the-beaten-path experiences
Key Responsibilities
- Lead high-stakes negotiations with domestic and international suppliers (hotels, restaurants, activity providers) to secure exclusive rights and preferential terms.
- Review and approve contract terms, pricing policies, and payment conditions to maximize profitability and mitigate financial/legal risks.
- Ensure the absolute accuracy and integrity of the partner database and contract management system.
- Supervise, train, and inspire junior staff in sourcing strategies, negotiation techniques, and contract lifecycle management.
- Constantly audit rates against major OTAs (Klook, Viator, etc.) to ensure price leadership in the Asian market.
- Deliver periodic performance reports, identifying operational bottlenecks and proposing strategic solutions to the Board of Directors.
Job Requirements
Technical skills:
- At least 4-5 years in a Senior Contracting or Supply Lead role, preferably within Inbound/Outbound DMCs or global OTA platforms.
- Expert-level ability to navigate complex commercial discussions with international partners.
- Deep knowledge of the Vietnam travel landscape, with an existing network of niche and high-end boutique suppliers.
- Professional English proficiency to work with international stakeholders.
- High competence in CRM/CMS and data analysis for yield management.
Soft skills:
- Ability to see beyond the contract and understand its impact on the overall business model.
- Transparent, honest, and proactive communication style.
- High pressure-handling capability in a fast-paced regional expansion setup.
- Strong mentoring skills to develop a high-performing supply team.
