- Strategy & Market Development
- Develop and implement annual commercial strategy
- Identify market opportunities and forecast sales volume
- Build marketing and communication plans
- Guide customer outreach and business development activities
- Sales Management & Performance
- Manage sales processes, pricing, and proposals
- Monitor team performance and sales targets
- Maintain customer and market data for insights
- Ensure consistent execution of sales procedures
- Customer & Account Management
- Develop and execute key account strategies
- Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Monitor customer satisfaction (e.g., NPS, feedback systems)
- Service Delivery & Operations Support
- Oversee contract execution and service delivery
- Coordinate with operations, logistics, and other teams
- Manage customer issues, complaints, and performance tracking
- Control receivables and ensure timely collections
- New Business & Solution Development
- Identify and develop new services and solutions
- Collaborate cross-functionally to expand offerings
- Continuously review business portfolio for growth opportunities
- Waste Value & Technical Alignment
- Identify suitable waste streams and potential customers
- Ensure compliance with waste acceptance and regulations
- Align solutions with operational and technical requirements
- Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with all safety, environmental, and legal requirements
- Promote a Zero Harm culture
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and develop the commercial team
- Build succession plans and capability development programs
- Foster coaching culture and performance improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Engineering, or related field
- Master's degree is a plus (Business or Technical)
Experience
- 5-8 years in commercial or sales roles
- At least 5 years in waste management or related industry
- Experience managing teams (10+ people preferred)
