RESPONSIBILITIES:
Role purpose: We are looking for a strategic and commercially driven Commercial Manager – Space, Range & Display (SRD) to optimize in-store experiences across multiple Asian markets. This role is key to delivering strong commercial outcomes by shaping how products are presented, ranged, and allocated in-store.
You will work at the intersection of commercial strategy, customer experience, and operational execution, ensuring our Health & Beauty brand is consistently elevated across all formats.
Key responsibilities:
Space Planning & Optimization
- Lead the development of store layouts and planograms to maximize sales density and customer experience
- Partner with store design and operations teams to ensure efficient and effective use of space
- Analyze store performance data to guide space allocation decisions
- Define and implement regional and local SRD guidelines in line with brand standards
Range Management
- Develop and execute regional assortment frameworks balancing global strategies with local market needs
- Partner with category teams to optimize product assortment and SKU rationalization
- Track SKU productivity and lead range reviews to improve commercial performance
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a key liaison between Commercial, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and SRD teams
- Support rollout of new store concepts and formats across markets
- Provide guidance and training to local teams on SRD best practices
Data, Insights & Performance
- Leverage analytics tools to measure space and range effectiveness
- Lead post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify trends, risks, and commercial opportunities through data analysis
Digital & In-store Transformation
- Support in-store digitalization initiatives by integrating content, education, and supplier assets
- Enhance the digital readiness of stores and frontline teams
Strategy & Project Management
- Support development of regional commercial strategies and frameworks
- Manage regional projects end-to-end (timeline, budget, stakeholders, governance)
- Deliver high-quality insights and presentations to senior stakeholders
Commercial Performance & Risk Management
- Partner with Commercial Finance to evaluate initiatives and drive ROI improvements
- Track and report on key metrics including sales uplift, SKU productivity, and inventory efficiency
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities, adapting strategies accordingly
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Commercial Directors and SRD leads across regions to deliver space strategies
- Work closely with Consumer Insights and Finance teams to ensure data-driven decisions
- Partner with Commercial, Marketing, and Operations pillars to drive regional initiatives
Key Accountabilities
- Drive improvements in sales density, customer experience, and in-store performance
- Deliver successful and timely rollout of regional initiatives
- Ensure strong cross-market and cross-functional alignment
- Strengthen decision-making through process improvement and digital tools adoption
- Enable seamless collaboration across omnichannel teams
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience & Skills
- Proven success in driving commercial results through space planning and range optimization
- Strong understanding of retail operations, ideally within Health & Beauty
- Experience managing cross-functional or regional projects
- Strong analytical capability and familiarity with planogram/merchandising tools
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence senior stakeholders
Leadership & Collaboration
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence across levels and functions
- Hands-on, collaborative approach with a focus on delivering results
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrix environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; postgraduate degree is a plus
- Fluent in English; additional Asian language(s) an advantage
