Job Purpose
Act as the Finance Business Partner to URC Vietnam's Commercial organization, working closely with Sales, Marketing and Finance stakeholders to translate business priorities into clear financial insights and recommendations. The role supports commercial decision-making across profitability, pricing, margin management, trade and advertising investment, new product evaluation, forecasting, budgeting and performance analysis—helping the business improve resource allocation and deliver sustainable, profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Commercial Finance Business Partnering
- Partner with Sales, Marketing and other Commercial stakeholders to provide objective, data-based financial insights and recommendations.
- Support business decisions by evaluating financial implications, identifying performance risks and opportunities, and challenging assumptions where appropriate.
- Translate financial information into clear and practical recommendations for non-finance stakeholders.
2. Profitability, Pricing & New Product Evaluation
- Analyze profitability by category, brand, SKU, channel and customer, including gross profit, margin drivers and cost structure.
- Provide financial evaluation and recommendations for pricing decisions, new product launches and other Commercial initiatives.
- Prepare financial models and what-if scenarios, including NPV or other relevant viability assessments, to support future business decisions.
3. Trade, Advertising & Promotion Investment
- Conduct pre- and post-evaluation of advertising and promotion activities and Commercial workplans.
- Monitor A&P and relevant Commercial spending against approved budgets and highlight material variances or risks.
- Assess investment effectiveness and provide recommendations to improve resource allocation and business returns.
4. Performance Analysis & Management Reporting
- Analyze Commercial P&L and performance results and prepare regular reports by brand, SKU, channel, customer or other relevant business dimension.
- Identify key performance drivers, trends, variances and emerging issues, and provide clear recommendations for corrective or improvement actions.
- Ensure financial analyses and management reports are accurate, complete and submitted within agreed timelines.
5. Planning, Forecasting & Budgeting
- Prepare and update sales, demand and financial forecasts in coordination with relevant business stakeholders.
- Support the development of the master budget for Brand Contribution and related Commercial financial plans.
- Track actual performance against forecast and budget, explain significant variances and support timely reforecasting when required.
6. Business Projects, Controls & Finance Governance
- Provide financial analysis, progress tracking and reporting for assigned Commercial or cross-functional business projects.
- Maintain appropriate documentation, data integrity and compliance with Finance policies, approval requirements and internal controls.
- Complete individual performance and development documentation through applicable URC performance and Finance capability tools.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Gross profit rate and quality of category, brand, SKU, channel and customer profitability insights.
- Accuracy and timeliness of Commercial P&L analysis, management reports and business recommendations.
- A&P and Commercial spending against approved budget, including completion of agreed pre- and post-evaluations.
- Sales and financial forecast accuracy.
- Accuracy and on-time completion of Brand Contribution budget and related planning deliverables.
- Quality and timeliness of financial evaluations for pricing, new product development and business projects.
- Stakeholder satisfaction with Commercial Finance support and decision-making insights.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Management Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in commercial finance, accounting, or auditing. Background in Big 4 auditing firms, FMCG, F&B, or other fast-moving consumer industries is strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to work with large data sets and convert analysis into practical business recommendations.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Experience with Power BI and a modern ERP system such as SAP is preferred.
- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to work across Finance, Sales and Marketing teams.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Vietnamese.
- High level of accuracy, ownership, integrity and ability to deliver within agreed deadlines.
