Job Overview
The Commercial Finance Manager Planning & Reporting is responsible for leading commercial financial planning, budgeting, pricing, and performance reporting to support business growth and profitability.
This role acts as a strategic finance business partner to Commercial, Sales, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams, ensuring effective investment decisions, disciplined trade spending, accurate forecasting, and strong financial governance. The position provides actionable insights to management and supports decision-making at channel, customer, and SKU levels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Commercial Planning & Budgeting
- Lead Annual Budget and Rolling Forecast processes for commercial functions
- Develop and monitor pricing strategy and trade spending frameworks
- Evaluate the effectiveness of commercial investments (A&P, promotions, trade programs)
- Analyze and assess ROI by channel, customer, and activity
2. Financial Analysis & Business Partnering
- Review and control budgets to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Analyze P&L by channel / customer / SKU and identify profitability drivers
- Evaluate ROI for new product launches, new channels, and new customers
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to Commercial and Sales teams
3. Finance Systems, Processes & Policies
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve finance systems, processes, and policies
- Establish and control SOPs, workflows, and approval matrices across Customer Service, Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain
- Ensure strong financial governance and internal controls in commercial operations
4. Reporting & Performance Management
- Design and manage BI dashboards and management reports
- Monitor and analyze Actual vs. Budget vs. Forecast performance
- Control and track trade spend, promotion accruals, rebates, and claims
- Prepare quarterly business insights and performance reviews for the CEO and Commercial leadership team
5. Customer Service (CS) Management & Governance
- Oversee and govern Customer Service operations from a financial and process perspective
- Monitor Order Management performance, including OTIF (On-Time In-Full)
- Manage and control Accounts Receivable (AR) in coordination with Sales and CS teams
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields
- 7+ years of experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, or Business Finance
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, pricing, and trade spend management
- Solid understanding of P&L, ROI analysis, and commercial investment evaluation
- Experience working with BI dashboards, financial reporting, and performance analysis
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills
- Good analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
- Advanced Excel skills; ERP/BI system experience is an advantage
- Good English communication skills is a plus
