Commercial Advisor (Business Strategy/ Lubricants/ Based in Vietnam)
12-Month Contract

Our client is one of the world's largest publicly traded international oil and gas companies. They are actively looking for Commercial Advisor to join their operations.
Role Overview
- Primarily based in Vietnam and responsible for supporting the development and execution of commercial strategies within the Vietnamese lubricants market.
- The role requires close engagement with local distributors, resellers and end users to drive sustainable growth and strengthen market presence.
- The candidate may be required to travel to Singapore periodically for business meetings and strategic discussions with regional stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with the Vietnam market to support business growth and strengthen relationships with distributors, resellers, and key customers.
- Work closely with distributors to drive sales performance, monitor inventory, and support effective market execution.
- Identify opportunities to expand distributor and reseller networks, including onboarding new partners and developing potential channels.
- Conduct regular market visits to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Support the development of market strategies and commercial initiatives to grow the lubricants business in Vietnam.
- Analyze market data, pricing trends, and competitive positioning to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and sales advisors to strengthen capabilities in the 4W segment and selected B2B sectors.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and market updates for internal stakeholders and management.
- Support business planning and forecasting with distributors to ensure smooth supply and operations.
Requirements
- In-depth interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Highly skilled and knowledgeable on commercial or business subject matter expertise.
- The role involves direct market engagement in Vietnam. Hence Vietnamese Language proficiency with minimum VLPT B2 or equivalent is required to conduct business, as well as preparation of reports and presentations that may be required by the clients or stakeholders
- In-depth interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proven experience in commercial advisory, business strategy, or business development, ideally within the Oil & Gas or Energy sector.
- Prior experience in the lubricants market
- Willingness to relocate and be based in Vietnam with occasional business travel to Singapore when required.
