To enable seamless collaboration between Styling & cross-functional teams, guiding the vehicle development process from early concept through to production. Ensures that the final product maintains the original design vision while meeting all functional, safety, and manufacturing requirements.
Main Duties

Lead and manage external CMF design studios to deliver end-to-end CMF development aligned with brand identity, program targets, and engineering requirements, including:
- Direct CMF trend research, bench-marking, and concept development conducted by external partners.
- Review and guide CMF proposals to ensure alignment with brand identity and overall program intent.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of CMF specification books for engineering teams and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across engineering, purchasing, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Manage suppliers in the development and approval of master samples for assigned programs.
- Ensure program timelines and deliverables are achieved in accordance with defined milestones.
- Collaborate with Design Quality and Supplier Quality teams to ensure consistent visual and material quality.
- Align with the internal CMF team on material strategy, innovation initiatives, and trend forecasting.
- Support additional CMF-related activities as required.
Requirements
8+ years of experience in CMF, preferably within the automotive industry.
Excellent color acuity (Munsell test certified or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of cost-driven design and material processes, including both hard and soft trim.
Solid understanding of sustainable materials and their applications in mobility design.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, VRED, and Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools for CMF research, trend analysis, concept development, visualization, and workflow optimization.
Strong communication, organizational skills, and a keen aesthetic sense.
Proactive, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Project management skills are an advantage.
Experience working with and managing external design studios and global stakeholders.
