A Brief Overview
This individual will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining resources in MiTek's cloud environments. They will accomplish this through the use of industry standard tools such as PowerShell and Terraform. Additionally, they will help administer our Azure DevOps environment, which includes managing permissions, running audits, securing repositories, and creating and maintaining CI/CD pipeline. The role requires the mentoring of junior cloud engineers as well as the ability to lead small and mid-sized projects.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a cloud support escalation point for the Cloud Engineer I and II team members.
- Support Managed Services offered in Azure
- Apply Azure subscription/tagging standards; uphold leastprivilege and access reviews
- Assist in supporting our external customer AVD environment
- Design and support Azure DevOps pipelines
- Assist in managing our Azure DevOps environment
- Implement and audit Azure DevOpssecurity controls (secure variables, audit logs, service connections, environments)
- Assist the Cloud Architecture team with the implementation of cloud-based solutions
- Implement our TTO (Transition to Operations) process for new services
- Enforce change control with ServiceNow and ADO release gates/approvals.
- Meet patch SLAs and security baselines
- Validate backup policies and perform restore tests; maintain DR playbooks.
- Mentor Cloud Engineer I/II and create Work Instructions for common tasks
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience managing and monitoring Azure services
- 4+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- 4+ years of experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, JSON, or other scripting languages
- 4+ Years of experience managing source control and work items in DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Enterprise
- 2+ years of experience writing YAML pipelines
- 2+ years of experience supporting AVD environments
- Some familiarity with ServiceNow
- Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) - Microsoft Certified required
- Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate - Microsoft AZ-104 preferred
- Proficient in English
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
