The team you will be part of

The Value Protection Specialist will be a key member of Intrepid's Claimback team within the Center of Excellence (COE), managing complex multi-step revenue recognition processes across retail, consignment, store management, and fulfillment business models. This role focuses on protecting brand investments through accurate claimback computation, brand confirmation workflows, and AR invoicing across Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines operations.

Key Responsibilities

Claimback Computation & Reconciliation (40%)

  • Prepare claimback computation files covering marketing/ platform cost recovery, brand-funded vouchers, and price difference settlements
  • Extract and consolidate transaction data from multiple platforms (Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, etc.) and internal systems
  • Calculate claimback amounts based on agreed commercial terms, promotional mechanics, and campaign parameters
  • Maintain master records for claimback booking automation and account mapping rules
  • Reconcile claimback computations with actual campaign execution data and platform reports
  • Identify discrepancies between commercial agreements and operational execution

Brand Confirmation & Alignment (25%)

  • Coordinate brand confirmation process to obtain sign-off before AR invoicing
  • Prepare clear supporting documentation including transaction details, calculation methodology, and campaign summaries
  • Address brand queries on claimback computations through data validation and explanation
  • Support Finance-Commercial alignment sessions with brand teams (both Intrepid KAMs and client finance contacts)
  • Document agreed billing structures, reconciliation timelines, and escalation paths
  • Track confirmation status and follow up on pending approvals within agreed SLAs

AR Invoicing & Collection (25%)

  • Process multiple AR streams post-brand confirmation:
    • Retail margin invoices
    • Consignment commission and service fee invoices
    • Claimback fee invoices
    • Voucher reimbursements
    • Price difference settlements
    • Store management billing (NMV commission or fixed fees)
    • Fulfillment pass-through (3PL cost invoicing)
  • Generate invoices in NetSuite from automated trackers based on confirmed computations
  • Support payment reconciliation by matching receipts to invoices
  • Assist with collection follow-ups on overdue accounts
  • Coordinate with dedicated AR team on aging management and dispute resolution

Process Compliance & Documentation (10%)

  • Maintain accurate records of claimback agreements, commercial terms, and billing arrangements
  • Ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies (IFRS 15) across different business models
  • Document process workflows and update SOPs for claimback procedures
  • Support internal and external audits with complete documentation trail
  • Flag policy exceptions or unusual transactions for supervisor review
  • Participate in cross-team standardization initiatives for shared AR/AP playbooks

Requirements

What we are looking for - the ideal profile

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1-2 years of accounting/finance experience, fresh graduates with strong analytical skills will be considered
  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, or marketing services environments is a plus
  • Understanding of promotional mechanics, trade marketing, or claimback structures is advantageous

Technical Skills

  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets proficiency (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex formulas, data consolidation)
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is preferred
  • Comfortable working with large data sets from multiple platforms
  • Ability to learn automated booking systems and master data management tools
  • Basic understanding of Vietnamese accounting standards and revenue recognition principles

  • Comfortable presenting computation details and reconciliation findings to stakeholders
