- Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Development:
- Identify, evaluate, and develop qualified Chinese manufacturers and suppliers for construction materials and equipment including civil works, MEP systems, faade, interior, and infrastructure equipment.
- Establish and continuously maintain a strategic supplier database in China, including supplier capabilities, pricing benchmarks, production capacity, quality standards, and delivery performance.
- Conduct supplier qualification, factory audits, and capability assessments to ensure alignment with project and corporate requirements.
2. Commercial & Procurement Support:
- Work closely with the Vietnam HQ Procurement team to support sourcing strategies, cost benchmarking, and supplier selection.
- Support commercial negotiations with Chinese suppliers to achieve competitive pricing, favorable contract terms, and reliable delivery commitments.
- Contribute to cost optimization initiatives through supplier consolidation, alternative sourcing, and value engineering opportunities.
3. Supply Chain Coordination:
- Act as the primary liaison between Coteccons and Chinese suppliers, ensuring efficient communication and alignment throughout the sourcing and procurement process.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain and project teams to manage supplier performance, delivery schedules, and quality compliance.
- Support issue resolution related to production, logistics, or technical requirements.
4. Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights:
- Monitor China market trends, including material pricing, manufacturing capabilities, supply capacity, and supply chain risks.
- Provide regular market intelligence and sourcing recommendations to Vietnam HQ to enhance procurement competitiveness and supply chain resilience
5. China Sourcing Hub Representation:
- Represent Coteccons in China as the local sourcing hub for Vietnam projects.
- Build long-term partnerships with strategic suppliers and manufacturing partners across China.
- Support supplier relationship management and strategic collaboration initiatives..
Requirements
- Chinese citizen, based in Guangzhou or Shouthern China regions
- Bachelor's degree or above in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related fields.
- Solid experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain within the construction, EPC, engineering, or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong knowledge of China manufacturing ecosystems for construction materials and equipment
- Proven experience in supplier sourcing, qualification, and commercial negotiations
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-border environment with international project teams.
- Fluent Mandarin and working proficiency in English
- High integrity, ownership mindset, and ability to work independently in a cross-border environment.
Additional Notes
This role requires close collaboration with Vietnam HQ's Supply Chain and Procurement teams.
Frequent supplier visits and factory audits across China may be required.
