KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Technical Culture & Business Mindset

  • Set high-bar engineering standards where technical decisions are rooted in business outcomes, ensuring every architectural choice drives ROI
  • Champion AI-first thinking at every layer of the organization, moving beyond traditional development to a future-proof, AI-native mindset
  • Bridge the gap between complex technical decisions and their commercial impact, acting as a translator between engineering and business
  • Define what good looks like by establishing clear benchmarks for code quality, architectural integrity, and production-ready delivery

2. R&D - Strategic AI Governance

  • Co-create a 3-5 year roadmap alongside the CEO, identifying high-value AI transformation opportunities that align with long-term business growth
  • Design the AI Governance Framework, selecting technology stacks that balance the need for rapid prototyping with enterprise-level scalability
  • Evaluate and pilot emerging trends, currently such as Agentic workflows, AI-native coding, and Multi-modal RAG, to maintain a competitive edge
  • Collaborate with the sales team and translate R&D findings into actionable, sellable service offerings that provide tangible value to global clients

3. Project Delivery & Quality Assurance

  • Take end-to-end accountability for the technical delivery quality of all internal initiatives and high-stakes client-facing projects
  • Transition to an AI-augmented SDLC, integrating advanced automated testing and LLM evaluation frameworks to ensure non-deterministic outputs are controlled
  • Resolve technical escalations and unblock critical paths to ensure project scope, deadlines, and quality standards are strictly maintained
  • Implement release gates and quality frameworks that leverage AI tooling to increase delivery speed without compromising stability

4. Security, Ethics & Compliance

  • Act as the ultimate authority on security certifications and global standards (ISO, SOC 2), ensuring the company remains a trusted partner
  • Enforce strict AI ethical guardrails, including bias mitigation and hallucination management, while ensuring deep compliance with PDPA and international privacy laws
  • Guarantee robustness by ensuring every AI solution is secure, reliable, and meets the stringent requirements of enterprise-grade clients
  • Establish AI Governance to manage data privacy and ethical risks inherent in generative AI and large language models

5. Leveling Up People — The AI Elite Coach

  • Lead hands-on mentorship, directly teaching the engineering team how to adopt and master AI
  • Design internal workshops and proficiency programs to show developers how to use AI tools to double or triple their development velocity
  • Foster a default-AI culture where AI augmentation is the standard operating procedure for all tasks, from documentation to deployment for all departments
  • Elevate technical talent by identifying high-potential practitioners and grooming them to become AI-native leads within the organization

6. Presales & Client Engagement

  • Articulate complex AI solutions in clear, business-focused language during client meetings to build confidence with C-suite stakeholders
  • Partner with Sales to architect high-impact Proof of Concepts (PoCs) that demonstrate clear ROI and expand project opportunities
  • Serve as a Trusted Advisor, helping global clients navigate their own AI transformation journeys through expert technical consultancy
  • Demonstrate AI capabilities through compelling technical storytelling and data-driven impact analysis

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Expert

  • AI/ML Foundations: Deep understanding of Transformer architectures, Embedding models, and the current LLM landscape (OpenAI, Anthropic, Open-source).
  • AI Orchestration: Hands-on experience with RAG, Agentic workflows, and frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Haystack.
  • Modern Engineering: Proficiency in Python, Node.js, and TypeScript. Experience with Microservices and Cloud-native architectures (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • MLOps: Knowledge of model deployment, versioning, and observability tools.

Business & Leadership Competencies

  • Commercial Acumen: Ability to align technical roadmaps with P&L goals and market demand. You understand that shipped is better than perfect when validating a market.
  • Strategic Communication: Ability to explain technical complexity to non-technical clients in a way that builds trust and closes deals.
  • Proven Leadership: Experience managing teams of 10-30+ in an IT outsourcing, consulting, or agency environment.
  • Agile Change Management: Proven track record of leading teams through technical pivots and rapid industry shifts.
