Chief Operating Officer (COO) - Galaxy Solutions

Position Summary:

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of Galaxy Solutions, including our software and tech delivery services. The COO will drive operational excellence, ensure the efficient delivery of products and services, and support the company's strategic growth initiatives. This role requires a leader with a strong background in software development, tech delivery, operational management, and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity across all departments, including tech delivery services.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of software products and tech services, ensuring they meet quality, timeline, and budgetary expectations.
  • Drive process improvements and implement best practices to streamline operations and service delivery.

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with the CEO and other executive team members to define and execute the company's strategic goals, including the expansion of tech delivery services.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and market trends to drive growth in both software and delivery service offerings.
  • Lead the expansion of operational capabilities in new markets, product lines, and service areas.

Team Management:

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing operations team, including project management, software development, tech delivery, and customer support teams.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all departments.

Financial Oversight:

  • Develop and manage the annual operating budget, ensuring financial targets are met across all operational areas, including tech delivery services.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the health of operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Optimize resource allocation to maximize profitability and efficiency.

Client Relations:

  • Work closely with the sales and customer success teams to ensure client satisfaction and retention, particularly in tech delivery services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and partners to support business growth.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality software and tech services that meet or exceed client expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in operational leadership roles within the software, technology, or tech delivery industry.
  • Proven track record of managing complex operations in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes, including Agile and DevOps methodologies, as well as tech delivery services.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with experience in building and leading diverse teams.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and KPIs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
