Job Description

Position Summary:

The Chief Cloud Officer (CCLO) is responsible for defining and executing the organization's enterprise cloud strategy, infrastructure modernization roadmap, and cloud operating model. The CCLO will lead the transformation of traditional infrastructure into scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud platforms while ensuring alignment with business growth, digital innovation, and operational excellence objectives.

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CCLO will oversee enterprise cloud architecture, hybrid and multi-cloud environments, data center strategy, cloud governance, FinOps, and large-scale infrastructure modernization initiatives.

Job Descriptions:

1. Enterprise Cloud Strategy

  • Define and execute the enterprise cloud vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive cloud adoption, digital transformation, and infrastructure modernization initiatives across the organization.
  • Establish cloud as a strategic platform to support business growth, innovation, scalability, and operational excellence.

2. Hybrid & Multi-Cloud Architecture

  • Lead the design and governance of enterprise cloud architecture across public, private, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
  • Ensure cloud platforms are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish architecture standards, cloud operating models, and technology roadmaps.

3. Data Center & Infrastructure Transformation

  • Develop and oversee enterprise data center strategy, modernization, and migration programs.
  • Lead large-scale infrastructure transformation from legacy environments to cloud-native and hybrid platforms.
  • Ensure high availability, business continuity, disaster recovery, and operational resilience.

4. Cloud Governance, FinOps & Service Excellence

  • Establish cloud governance frameworks, policies, and operational standards.
  • Lead FinOps initiatives to optimize cloud spending, resource utilization, and technology investments.
  • Drive operational excellence through automation, platform engineering, and service reliability practices.

5. Leadership, Risk & Executive Reporting

  • Build and lead high-performing cloud, infrastructure, and platform engineering teams.
  • Manage cloud-related risks, vendor partnerships, and strategic technology investments.
  • Provide regular updates to the CEO and Board on cloud strategy, transformation progress, cost optimization, risks, and operational performance.

Qualifications:

  • MBA/ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. PhD is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in Infrastructure, Cloud Computing, Data Center Management, Platform Engineering, or Technology Operations.
  • At least 5 years in executive or senior leadership roles overseeing enterprise infrastructure and cloud transformation programs.
  • Proven experience developing and executing enterprise cloud strategies and large-scale migration initiatives.
  • Deep expertise in public cloud platforms, hybrid cloud environments, cloud-native architectures, and infrastructure modernization.
  • Strong experience in FinOps, cloud governance, infrastructure operations, and vendor management.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale transformation and modernization programs.
  • Experience building and leading high-performing cloud and infrastructure teams.
  • Cloud certifications from major providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) are strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Financial Services, Fintech, Telecommunications, Digital Platforms, E-commerce, or other highly regulated industries is strongly preferred.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
