Position Summary:
The Chief API Officer (CAO) is responsible for defining and executing the API Economy strategy across the entire Galaxy Holdings ecosystem, creating a foundational connectivity platform among Banking, Aviation, Real Estate, Education, Healthcare, and Technology sectors.
This role leads the design of API architecture, integration standards, API Gateway platforms, Open API Platforms, and the Developer Ecosystem to ensure that all products, services, and data can be connected rapidly, securely, and at scale.
This is a strategic position within the Transformation Management Office (TMO), playing a critical role in driving digital transformation through a unified API architecture across the Group.
Job Descriptions:
1. Define Group API Strategy & Governance
- Develop and implement an API-First and API Economy strategy across the entire ecosystem.
- Establish an API Governance Framework, including design standards, security, versioning, documentation, and API lifecycle management.
- Build the API development roadmap and promote a culture of API reusability across the Group.
- Ensure API standards are aligned with enterprise architecture and digital transformation strategies.
2. Lead Enterprise Integration Platform
- Build and operate a unified integration platform connecting Banking, Aviation, Real Estate, Education, Healthcare, and Technology sectors.
- Define the integration architecture based on APIs, Microservices, and Event-Driven Architecture.
- Develop and govern API Gateway, API Management, Developer Portal, Event Streaming, and Integration Services platforms to ensure scalability, performance, and high availability.
3. Drive Business Ecosystem & Digital Innovation
- Drive connectivity among products, services, and data across the ecosystem to deliver seamless customer experiences.
- Support the implementation of Open APIs, partner integrations, AI Services, and emerging digital platforms to create new business models and revenue streams.
- Position APIs as a strategic asset to support the Group's growth and innovation initiatives.
4. Ensure Security, Risk & Operational Excellence
- Develop and implement API security strategies in accordance with international standards, ensuring data protection and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor the performance, stability, scalability, and resilience of the API platform.
- Establish monitoring, analytics, SLA management, and operational metrics systems to optimize service quality.
5. Build Organization & Technology Leadership
- Build and develop API Platform, Integration Engineering, and API Architecture teams.
- Lead API and integration transformation programs within the framework of the Transformation Management Office (TMO).
- Collaborate with technology and business units to drive the adoption of modern standards, technologies, and integration models across the Group.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Enterprise Integration, or Platform Engineering.
- 8+ years in technology leadership roles.
- Proven experience building large-scale API Platforms.
- Experience implementing Enterprise Integration within multi-company organizations.
- Experience in Banking, Fintech, Aviation, Digital Platforms, or Enterprise Technology is a significant advantage.
