Position Summary
Sportslife Vietnam is seeking an experienced and proactive Chief Accountant to establish and oversee the full accounting function for our newly established company in Vietnam. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with local regulations, maintain accurate financial records, support strategic decision-making, and build effective accounting processes and controls from the ground up.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting & Financial Management
- Establish and manage the accounting system, chart of accounts, and financial processes for the company.
- Oversee all daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, payroll coordination, and cash management.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS).
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all accounting transactions and records.
- Monitor company cash flow and provide financial insights to support management decisions.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Prepare and review all tax declarations, including VAT, Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Personal Income Tax (PIT), Foreign Contractor Tax (if applicable), and other statutory filings.
- Ensure full compliance with Vietnamese accounting standards, tax regulations, and relevant legal requirements.
- Liaise with tax authorities, external auditors, banks, and other regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate annual statutory audits and support tax inspections when required.
Internal Controls & Process Development
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal control systems.
- Establish efficient workflows and documentation processes suitable for a newly established business.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting operations and enhance efficiency.
Budgeting & Financial Reporting
- Support management in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Prepare periodic financial reports and analyses for local and regional stakeholders.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis with actionable recommendations.
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Chief Accountant Certificate is a must.
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of accounting experience.
- Proven experience in handling full-cycle accounting activities.
- Previous experience as a Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant is preferred.
- Experience setting up accounting processes for a newly established company is highly desirable.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and tax regulations.
- Experience working with external auditors and government authorities.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Language Requirements
- English is a must.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required to collaborate with regional stakeholders and prepare reports.

- Competitive salary package: up to VND 50,000,000/month.
