Job Context

What you will do:

1. Financial reporting

  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss statement, cash flow statement).
  • Oversee and manage monthly cash flow, AR/AP reports, DIO, DSO, CAPEX, car leasing report and monthly BFC reporting.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

2. Compliance & regulation

  • Ensure financial records comply with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and transition to France GAAP as required.
  • Managing audits and coordinating with external auditors to maintain compliance.
  • Managing, reviewing insurance and coordinating with the Broker for renewal contract.
  • Coordinating and dealing with Bank for short-term loan.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations and implement necessary adjustments.

3. Accounting operations

  • Supervise daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger management, and inventory accounting. Manage team of 5 subordinates.
  • Maintain and enhance accounting systems (SAGE) and procedures to ensure data accuracy and operational efficiency in alignment with HQ.
  • Ensure alignment and consistency between Sage and local reporting
  • Collaborate with IT for finance-related IT systems and implimentation new projects.

4. Budgeting & forecasting

Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts ( Balance sheet)

5. Internal controls & Risk management

  • Help establish and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Implement policies to minimize the risk of fraud or financial mismanagement.

6. Taxation

  • Ensure accurate and timely corporate tax filings and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Provide tax planning and advisory support to optimize tax efficiency.
  • Support transfer pricing policy making and adherence.

7. Team management & development

  • Lead and mentor the accounting team to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in daily operations.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the team's technical knowledge and performance.

8. Collaboration with Asia Director of Finance and Group controller

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements through timely, complete and correct closing of trial balances.
  • Alignment with group control on changes / improvements to financial statement versions.
  • Budgeting & forecasting: work closely with the Director of finance and management accountant on financial projections.
  • Financial analysis: work closely with the Director of finance and management accountant on financial decision-making through cost analysis, profitability assessments, and investment evaluations.
  • Cash flow management: work closely with the Director of finance, management accountant and relevant team members to monitor cash flow.

What you can bring

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Chief Accountant Certificate required. ACCA/CPA is a plus.

Experience: At least 10 years in accounting, with 5+ years in a Chief Accountant or similar role, ideally in multinational or manufacturing companies.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of VAS, familiar with IFRS or French GAAP
  • Proficient in SAGE or other ERP systems, strong Excel skills
  • Experienced in financial reporting, tax, budgeting, and audits

Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop a team.

Language: Good command of English (spoken & written).

Others: Detail-oriented, strong analytical skills, integrity, and proactive mindset.
