Chief Accountant & HR Manager
Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Impact Talent is partnering with a well-established international freight forwarding and logistics organisation to appoint an experienced Chief Accountant & HR Manager. This is a key leadership opportunity for a finance professional who combines strong technical accounting expertise with HR administration and compliance experience within the logistics industry.
Reporting directly to the regional headquarters, you will oversee the company's finance and HR functions in Vietnam, ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence while supporting the continued growth of the business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the full accounting function, including month-end reporting, statutory financial statements, tax compliance, treasury, cash flow management, and external audits
- Prepare accurate management reports for regional headquarters while ensuring compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and all local tax regulations
- Oversee payroll, employee records, labour law compliance, social insurance, and HR administration in accordance with Vietnamese legislation
- Manage freight forwarding financial processes, including freight billing reconciliation, logistics cost control, and intercompany transactions
- Lead, mentor, and develop the local accounting team, implementing best practices and driving continuous improvement
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external auditors, government authorities, and regional leadership teams
- Support business performance through financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and operational decision-making
- Ensure the business remains fully compliant with evolving financial, tax, and labour legislation
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with a CPA or Chief Accountant certification as required under Vietnamese law
- Minimum of 10 years accounting experience, ideally gained within freight forwarding, logistics, or international supply chain businesses
- Strong knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), local tax regulations, and the Vietnamese Labour Code
- Proven experience managing both finance and HR functions within a lean business environment
- Strong understanding of freight forwarding billing, agent fee structures, logistics cost accounting, and intercompany reconciliations
- Experience using accounting systems such as MISA, Fast Accounting, or similar, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with CargoWise or Oracle ERP would be advantageous
- Fluent in Vietnamese and confident communicating in English with international stakeholders
- Highly organised, commercially aware, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced international environment

Salary: 60-80 Million VND per month
