About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to lead our accounting operations and ensure financial compliance in a fast-paced logistics environment. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience working for a Logistics/Freight Forwarding company and possess strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Tax.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities, banks, and government agencies.
• Review and improve accounting policies, internal controls, and financial processes.
• Supervise and develop the accounting team.
• Support management with financial insights and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Valid Chief Accountant Certificate is preferred.
• Mandatory experience working in a Logistics/Freight Forwarding company.
• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a Chief Accountant position.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting software.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in multinational or international logistics companies.
• Familiarity with freight forwarding operations (Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Customs Brokerage, Contract Logistics).
• Experience in process improvement and internal control.
