POSITION DESCRIPTION

Title:Chief Accountant (Manufacturing and F&B business units)

Reporting To:Group Finance Controller

Location:Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Chief Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all accounting, tax, and financial

compliance activities for the Manufacturing and F&B business units. This role ensures

financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency while supporting the

Group Finance Controller and BOD in strategic financial management.

Key responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Management:

Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with Vietnamese

Accounting Standards (VAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards

(IFRS).

Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts, financial

statements, and reports.

Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and corporate policies.

Lead the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and

timeliness.

Monitor cash flow, manage accounts payable/receivable, and ensure efficient

financial transactions

Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Line Manager and the Board of

Directors to support business needs.

2. Tax Management:

Manage all tax filings (VAT, CIT, SCT, PIT, FCT, and others) and liaise with tax

authorities for audits and compliance.

Ensure compliance with all local tax regulations and financial laws.

Sign off on financial statements, tax declarations, and official reports

submitted to authorities.

Serve as the main contact point for external audits, tax inspections, and

financial reviews.

3. Team Leadership & Process Improvement:

Supervise the accounting team, ensuring high performance and professional

development.

Work closely with senior management on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic

financial planning.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational

efficiency.

Implement and oversee internal controls to safeguard company assets and

prevent financial risks.

Conduct training sessions for finance team members to ensure up-to-date

knowledge of accounting regulations.

PERSONAL SPECS

1. Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Chief Accountant Certificate is mandatory.

57 years of experience in accounting, tax, and financial management,

preferably in multinational firms.

Experience in Manufacturing, F&B, or FMCG industries is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of VAS, IFRS, and Vietnamese tax regulations.

Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, FAST, Misa.

CPA or ACCA certification is a strong advantage.

SQL, Power BI, or data analytics experience is a plus.

2. Skills & Competencies

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and professional integrity.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Proactive, structured, and improvement-oriented mindset.

Advanced in English (spoken and written).
