Position overview:
The Chief Accountant will oversee the Group's accounting operations for its F&B chains, financial reporting, taxation, and compliance activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
I. Key Accountability
Accounting Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions and reporting
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams at EW/Group, to gather and provide financial data and insights for decision-making and strategic planning
Accounting Report & Compliance
- Monthly/ Quarterly/ Yearly Accounting Report
- Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities, ensuring compliance with audit and tax requirements
- Prepare and check tax reports monthly, quarterly, and yearly, and submit on tim
- Main contact when working with the tax authority, bank officer, and other government parties
- Update tax regulation, manage the risk of tax in business activities
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to ensure high-quality deliverables and continuous professional growth
- Foster a collaborative and performance-driven working environment
- Drive process improvements and enhance operational efficiency within the accounting function
- Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and standards, implementing necessary adjustments to accounting practices and policies

- Other data and ad-hoc analysis as requested by other departments.
II. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. A Chief Accountant Certification is required
- 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a Chief Accountant role with people management responsibilities
- Strong experience working with tax authorities and solid knowledge of VAS and IFRS
- Experience in setting up accounting systems, as well as developing SOPs and internal control policies
- Proven experience in building and managing teams across all accounting functional areas
- Big 4 experience is a strong advantage
- Experience in retail and F&B segments is a plus
- Experience in consolidated FS is a plus
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Power Query and Power BI is preferred. Good English communication skills are required.
